This 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL was originally delivered to Wright Motors in Syracuse, New York, and was acquired by the seller in 2020 after reportedly spending over ten years in storage. The car is finished in Signal Red over Palomino leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Ignition and fuel system services were performed since the seller’s acquisition including installation of a replacement air filter, fuel filter, fuel cap, fuel pump, battery, spark plugs, drive belts, and fluids.

A four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset analog clock, and a combination gauge indicating coolant temperature, oil level, instant fuel economy, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 27k miles.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 is equipped with Bosch fuel injection and was rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque when new. Service performed in November 2020 by Mercedes-Benz of Rochester, New York, included draining and cleaning the fuel tank and replacing the air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs, drive belts, and fluids. Subsequent work is said to have included conversion of the air conditioning system to utilize R134a refrigerant along with installation of a replacement fuel tank, sending unit, hood insulation, distributor cap, steering damper, lower ball joint boots, and ignition wires.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
