This 1970 Chevrolet Blazer K5 CST is finished in tan over tan vinyl and powered by a 350ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Features include a white removable hardtop, white-finished 15″ steel wheels, a 40-gallon auxiliary fuel tank, a transmission cooler, air conditioning, and a push-button AM radio. The truck was reportedly sold new by Felix Chevrolet in Los Angeles, California, and remained in storage for several years prior to the seller’s acquisition in February 2021.
The body was originally finished in green and is said to have been repainted in its current shade of tan by Earl Scheib in 1974. Features include a removable white hardtop, white-finished bumpers, a roof rack, and K/5 Blazer fender badges.
White-finished 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 235/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw XTM tires. The front axle features manually-locking Warn hubs, and the truck is equipped with power steering as well as power-assisted disc brakes in front and drum brakes out back.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in tan vinyl along with a matching dashboard and door panels. The exposed floor pans remain painted green, and amenities include air conditioning, a push-button AM radio, a locking glovebox, crank windows, and lap belts. Tears are visible in the driver’s seat upholstery.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer along with gauges for fuel-level, battery charge, coolant temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 83k miles.
The 350ci V8 is said to have received replacement valves, hardened valve seats, and refinished cylinder heads under previous ownership. The seller states that service in May 2021 included an oil change and replacement of the starter, starter flex plate, various belts and hoses, and the battery.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, a two-speed transfer case, and a positrac rear axle. A 40-gallon auxiliary fuel tank was reportedly added under previous ownership along with a front truss rod and a transmission cooler. Custom skid plates have been installed to shield the fuel tank, transmission, and transfer case.
