This 1963 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk is finished in Rose Mist over a rose-colored interior and is powered by a supercharged 289ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car received a partial refurbishment during previous ownership, and service performed since the seller’s December 2020 acquisition has reportedly included replacing the water pump, seals, spark plugs, and wires as well as rebuilding the starter, alternator, fuel pump, and more as detailed below.
The exterior was refinished in the original Rose Mist during previous ownership. The trunk floor has been replaced and the seller states that patch repair is visible in the floor pans. Stone chips are present in the windshield, and the right rear window is damaged. A replacement window is included in the sale.
Aftermarket 15″ Torq Thrust–style wheels are fitted with 215/75 Cooper Trendsetter SE tires that were reportedly mounted during current ownership. The front coil springs have been replaced and that the brake booster has been removed. The seller notes that a brake system inspection should be carried out before the car is driven.
The interior features rose-colored cloth and vinyl seats along with matching door panels. The carpets have been removed, and the seller notes that the radio, clock, horn, and heater do not work. The interior weather seals and gaskets are in need of replacement, and a spare headliner, carpets, seat trim, and sun visors are included in the sale.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a central 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, amperage, and oil pressure. Both the speedometer and the odometer are inoperable, and the five-digit odometer currently shows 89k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
An engine rebuild carried out during the refurbishment reportedly included installing an over-bored replacement 289ci V8 block and installing oversized intake valves. The seller states that the supercharger was also rebuilt at that time. Service since December 2020 has also reportedly included installing the following components:
