Features include a roof rack, chrome bumpers, fender skirts, a windshield visor, a receiver hitch, and a cassette stereo.
The Hudson Motor Car Company and Nash-Kelvinator merged in 1954 and became the American Motors Corporation. While the Rambler was initially a part of the Nash lineup, after the merger Ramblers were badged as both Nashes and Hudsons. This Hudson Rambler wagon is finished in peach with white accents and features chrome bumpers and trim, a bumper-mounted backup light, front driving lights, rear mudguards, a roof rack, fender skirts, a windshield visor, pinstripe accents, and a caricature of the wagon on the tailgate. A receiver hitch has been installed and is hidden behind a flip-up license plate holder when not in use.
Steel 15″ wheels wear chrome Rambler covers and are wrapped in Coker Classic wide whitewall tires. The modified front suspension was reportedly sourced from a Chevrolet Corvair, and the rear axle is said to be a Chevrolet S-10 unit. The brake master cylinder was reportedly replaced in May 2020.
The cabin is upholstered in peach and features white vinyl accents, black carpets, and multi-color pinstriping on the metal dashboard. Features include pop-out vent windows, a compass, and an aftermarket cassette stereo.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a Nash emblem and fronts a 100-mph speedometer as well as under-dash gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles.
The 3.8-liter Buick V6 was reportedly installed by the seller’s late husband. The seller states that the thermostat and air filter were replaced in 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Service in 2020 reportedly included flushing the transmission fluid, replacing the filter, and repairing the pan.
A paint-matched evaporative cooler, a set of luggage, and a spare wheel cover are included in the sale.
