This 1948 Buick Roadmaster Sedanet was sold new by Vinton & Larsen of McMinnville, Oregon, and was acquired by the seller in 2010. This 1948 Buick Roadmaster Sedanet was sold new by Vinton & Larsen of McMinnville, Oregon, and was acquired by the seller in 2010. The car is finished in Verde Green over gray cloth and is powered by a 320ci Fireball straight-eight paired with a two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission. A repaint in the original Verde Green was carried out in 1985 and features windshield washers, chrome trim, rear-wheel spats, a back-up lamp, and a single outlet exhaust.
Black 15″ steel wheels wear chrome covers and wide whitewall tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel drum brakes and independent front suspension. The emergency brake was repaired in April 2021.
The cabin features gray cloth bench seats and two-tone gray and white sheet metal. Amenities include a heater, an analog clock, a Sonomatic AM radio, and a GM-branded chrome tissue dispenser under the dash. Service during current ownership reportedly included restuffing the front bench seat. A previous owner replaced the carpets.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and combination gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, amperage, and temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 37k miles.
The 320ci Fireball straight-eight was rated at 144 horsepower when new. The valve cover was recently repainted. The starter solenoid was repaired in September 2020, and the water pump and spark plugs were replaced in April 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission.
