This 1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was acquired by the seller in 2014, and it was subsequently modified with a 5.7-liter Vortec V8, a four-speed automatic transmission, and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is finished in black over tan upholstery and equipped with a tan soft top, power steering, manually-locking front hubs, front disc brakes, 15″ chrome-finished wheels, a CB radio, and a Pioneer CD stereo. Additional work under current ownership is said to have included replacement of the suspension, brake pads and rotors, and instrumentation as well as an overhaul of the interior with seats sourced from a 2000 GMC Yukon.
The truck was reportedly refinished in black in 2013 and features a tan-colored roll-up Softopper soft top. Equipment includes a chrome grille and bumpers, a rear-mounted CB antenna, a roll cage, and K/5 Blazer fender badges.
Chrome-finished 15″ Cragar wheels are mounted with 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich All Terrain Baja Champion tires. Manually-locking hubs are fitted up front, and the truck is equipped with power steering and front disc brakes. The leaf springs, bushings, and shocks were reportedly replaced in 2017, and the brake pads and rotors were changed in 2018.
The cabin features leather front bucket seats and a quick-release rear bench that were reportedly sourced from a 2000 GMC Yukon and are protected by tan patterned cloth covers. Beige carpets line the floors, and additional appointments include hand-crank windows, a Pioneer CD stereo, a Cobra 29 LTD classic CB radio, and a locking glove box.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Dakota Digital VHX instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a compass, an outside air temperature module, a gear shift indicator, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows approximately 10k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The 5.7-liter L31 HD Vortec V8 was reportedly sourced as a crate engine in 2017 and features a FiTech fuel injection system, a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner assembly, and orange-painted valve covers. The engine oil and air filter were changed in June 2021.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a rebuilt GM 700-R4 four-speed automatic transmission and an NP208 dual-range transfer case that are said to have been installed in 2014 along with a replacement prop shaft and driveshaft.
