This 1969 Pontiac Firebird was the subject of modifications and refurbishment work that are said to have been completed in 2010. Additional equipment includes Trans Am-style trim, an Art Morrison subframe with Chevrolet Corvette C5 suspension, a RideTech four-link rear end with a 10-bolt Positraction differential featuring 3.73:1 gears, adjustable coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, 18″ HRE wheels, a BTR camshaft, 42-lb/hr fuel injectors, dual 2.5″ stainless steel exhausts, a retrofitted air conditioning system, and aftermarket audio components. The car is said to have participated in the 2012 Bandit Run, 2013 Hot Rod Power Tour, and 2014 Trans Am Nationals.
The car was repainted in Cameo White with Tyrol Blue stripes according to the seller. Exterior details include a hood-mounted tachometer, dual Ram Air scoops, fender vents, a rear spoiler, LED lighting, and a chrome rear bumper.
Black HRE wheels measure 18×8.5″ up front and 18×10″ out back, and are shod in a combination of Nitto and Maxxis tires. The Art Morrison front subframe features Chevrolet C5 Corvette components, rack-and-pinion steering, and welded connectors as well as adjustable coilovers to go along with those on the four-link rear end. Braking is handled by a Wilwood master cylinder, Corvette calipers, and cross-drilled discs at each corner.
The interior houses a pair of bolstered Scat Procar sport seats upholstered in black along with a modern center console and matching carpets. Additional modifications include an air conditioning system from Vintage Air, Dynamat sound deadening material, and Firebird-branded floor mats. The audio system consists of a Kenwood touchscreen head unit and amplifier along with JL Audio speakers including a subwoofer mounted under the rear parcel shelf.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel on a tilting column frames a fuel gauge as well as a 160-mph speedometer with a five-digit odometer showing 39k miles.
The replacement 5.7-liter LS1 V8 is said to feature a BTR Stage 1 camshaft, an upgraded oil pump, 42-lb/hr fuel injectors, aftermarket lifters, and roller rockers. Cooling is via an aluminum radiator with twin electric fans. Jet-Hot coated headers feed dual 2.5″ stainless steel exhausts with MagnaFlow mufflers. Fuel is drawn from an aftermarket tank through braided stainless steel hoses.
The 4L60E transmission is reportedly a Road Ripper 2000 model from Trans Works Transmissions in Madison, Wisconsin, and routes power through a 10-bolt Moser limited-slip rear end with 3.73:1 gearing and an aluminum cover.
